1. Welcome to ProTrader Mobile Station

ProTrader Mobile Station is a personal terminal to ProTrader online trading system, providing realtime access to international financial markets via the Internet. As portable and accessible as your mobile phone, ProTrader Mobile Station is comparable with full-function PC trading terminals, such as ProTrader .Net and ProTrader Java Stations.

With ProTrader Mobile Station, you can

  1. Receive online marked data (quotes, news)
  2. Open and close positions
  3. Place delayed (pending) orders
  4. Set up alerts to monitor price movements
  5. Chat online with your broker
  6. View your account information

ProTrader Mobile Station is based on Java platform for mobile devices (J2ME) and can be run on any mobile phone supporting J2ME MIDP 2.0.

There are two ways to install the application on your cell phone: directly from the phone's WAP browser or from a regular PC using cable and a synchronization tool.

2. Logging in

After installation, start ProTrader Mobile Station like any other Java application installed on your phone (this depends on device type, but usually the ProTrader application link is found in the Applications menu).

On the Login screen, enter your login name and password.

If desired, select the Save name & password checkbox to store your login name/password for a quick start next time.

Select your language. On our demo server, English and Russian are available.

Press the Login button to send the login request to the authorization server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take up from 3 seconds to receive a response from the server.




3. Main Menu

If the login is successful, you are taken to the ProTrader Menu screen.

From here, you can go to any of the following screens:

  1. Watchlist
  2. Subscribe
  3. Positions
  4. Orders
  5. Alerts
  6. General
  7. News
  8. Chat

To go to the selected screen, press the Ok button.

Press Exit if you want to disconnect from the server and close the application.




4. Configuring Tables

Most of ProTrader Mobile Station's screens have table-based layouts. Normally, many more columns are available for each screen table than visible by default.

From any table screen, you can use the Configuration menu to choose table columns you wish to have displayed. Table configurations are saved after you log out and close the application, and restored next time you log in.

If a table does not fit into the screen, use the arrow buttons on your mobile phone (up, down, left, right) to scroll the table.



 

5. Watchlist Screen

The Watchlist screen displays most recent quotes (in real-time mode) for all instruments you are subscribed to.

For each instrument, the following columns are available:

  1. Bid  Last bid price.
  2. Ask  Last ask price.
  3. Time  Time of last update.
  4. High  Highest price for the current day.
  5. Low  Lowest price for the current day.
  6. Open  Open price of the current day.
  7. Close  Close price of the previous day.
  8. Volume  Trading volume of the current day.

Use Configuration to choose columns you want included in the table.

Price fields (bid and ask) are highlighted in green when the new price is higher than the previous value. If the price goes lower, the field highlights in red.




6. Subscribe Screen

The Subscribe screen lists instruments available for trading.

To subscribe, place checkboxes against the instruments you want, then press Ok to send the subscribe request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take 3 to 20 seconds to receive the server's response.

After your request is processed, the instruments will be added to the Watchlist screen. Other screens are also updated.




7. Positions Screen

The Positions screen lists your open positions.

For each position, the following columns are available:

  1. Position#  A unique number the trading system assigns to each position. The position number is the same as the number of order used to open this position.
  2. Instrum.  The instrument of the position.
  3. Operation  Indicates whether it is a Buy or Sell position.
  4. Date/Time  Date and time the position was open.
  5. Lots  Number of lots (contracts) in the position.
  6. Price  Price the position was open at.
  7. Exp1 Sum  Amount of trade in base currency terms.
  8. Exp2 Sum  Amount of trade in counter currency terms.
  9. Market price  Market price obtainable from your Broker.
  10. SL  Stop loss price set for the position, if any.
  11. TP  Take profit price set for the position, if any.
  12. Exp1/cl Sum  Amount required to close the position, in base currency terms (the inverse of Exp1 Sum).
  13. Exp2/cl Sum  Amount required to close the position, in counter currency terms.
  14. Profit  Profit/loss in contract currency terms, calculated based on market price (shows profit or loss you would make if you close the position at current price).
  15. Profit USD  Profit or loss in your account currency, calculated based on market price (shows profit or loss you would make if you close the position at current price).

Use Configuration to choose columns you want included in the table.

Use Menu to open a new position or close any open position.


7.1. New Position

 

To open the New Position screen, use the Menu on the Positions screen.

To open a position, select:

  1. Instrument
  2. Number of lots
  3. Operation type (Buy or Sell)

Press Ok to send the new order request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take from 5 to 10 seconds before you receive a confirmation or rejection message from the server.

If the new position is open successfully, it will be added to the Positions screen.


7.2. Close Position

To open the Close Position screen, use the Menu on the Positions screen.

Choose the position number you wish to close.

Press Ok to send the position close request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take from 5 to 10 seconds before you receive a confirmation or rejection message from the server.



 

8. Orders Screen

The Orders screen lists your delayed orders.

For each order, the following columns are available:

  1. Order#  A unique number the trading system assigns to each order.
  2. Instrum.  The instrument of the order.
  3. Type  Order type (Limit - Take Profit or Stop - Stop Loss).
  4. Operation  Type of trade to be executed (Sell or Buy).
  5. Created  Date and time the order was created.
  6. Lots  Number of lots in the order.
  7. Price  Price the order is to be executed at.
  8. Cur. Price  Market price obtainable from your Broker.
  9. SL  Stop loss price set for the order, if any.
  10. TP  Take profit price set for the order, if any.
  11. Duration  Order validity period. GTC (Good Till Cancel) means that the order remains effective until you cancel it. If not executed the same day, a GTC order will be carried over to the next day and so on. DO (Day Order) means that the order is effective during the current day only and, if not executed, will be cancelled by the system at the end of the day.
  12. Bind to  Number of order bound to the current one. If the bound order is executed, the system cancels the current one.

Use Configuration to choose columns you want included in the table.

Use Menu to create a new order or remove an order.


8.1. New Order

To open the New Order screen, use the Menu on the Orders screen.

To create a new order, select:

  1. Instrument
  2. Number of lots
  3. Operation type (Buy or Sell)
  4. Order type (Limit or Stop)
  5. Order duration (DO or GTC)
  6. Number of order to bind the new order to, if any
  7. Order price

Press Ok to send the new order request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take from 5 to 10 seconds before you receive a confirmation or rejection message from the server.

If the new order is created successfully, it will be added to the Orders screen.


8.2. Remove Order

To open the Remove Order screen, use the Menu on the Orders screen.

Choose the order number you wish to remove.

Press Ok to send the order remove request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take from 5 to 10 seconds before you receive a confirmation or rejection message from the server.



 

9. Alerts Screen

The Alerts screen lists the alerts you have set up. An alert is a signal generated by the system when the price reaches the value set by the user. When executed, the alert disappears from the Alerts screen.

For each alert, the following columns are available:

  1. Alert#  A unique number the trading system assigns to each alert.
  2. Instrument  Instrument the alert is set for.
  3. Base  Price the alert monitors (BID or ASK).
  4. Type  Alert condition (greater or equal, less or equal).
  5. Price  Price value that triggers the alert.
  6. Cur. Price  Market price obtainable from your Broker.

Use Configuration to choose columns you want included in the table.

Use Menu to set up a new alert or remove an alert.


9.1 Create Alert

To open the Create Alert screen, use the Menu on the Alerts screen.

To set up an alert, select:

  1. Instrument
  2. Base (BID or ASK)
  3. Type (greater or equal, less or equal)
  4. Price that would trigger the alert

Press Ok to send the create alert request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take from 5 to 10 seconds before you receive a confirmation or rejection message from the server.

Your new alert will then be added to the Alerts screen.


9.2. Remove Alert

To open the Remove Alert screen, use theMenu on the Alerts screen.

Choose the alert number you wish to remove.

Press Ok to send the alert remove request to the server. Depending on your Internet connection speed, it can take from 5 to 10 seconds before you receive a confirmation or rejection message from the server.



 

10. General Information Screen

The General screen displays the following information about your account:

  1. Account#/State  Shows the unique identifier of your account and the current state of the account.
  2. Balance  Your account balance in USD.
  3. Current balance  Your account balance adjusted for open positions, in USD. Shows what the balance would be if all open positions are closed at market prices.
  4. Minimal margin  Minimum balance required to maintain a position.
  5. Total profit  Your profit or loss in USD on all currently open positions, recalculated in real time based on most recent quotes.
  6. Open positions/Lots  Number of positions/lots you currently have open.
  7. Delayed orders/Lots  Number of delayed orders/lots you currently have open.



11. News Screen

The News screen lists the latest market news. News list is updated in real-time mode.

For each news story, the following details are provided:

  1. Received  Date and time the news story is received.
  2. Source  The primary source of the news story.
  3. Subject  Short summary of the news story.



12. Chat Screen

The Chat screen shows the log of messages sent to and received from your Broker, including:

  1. Time a message is received
  2. Sender's login name
  3. Message body

Use Menu to open the New message screen, where you can type and send a message to your Broker.
